Happy Anniversary to us! Today is our 8th wedding anniversary and to celebrate we went to Lake Geneva, WI for the weekend. We stayed at the Millcreek Hotel which is off of the main street in downtown Lake Geneva and within walking distance to all the cute shops and restaurants. On Saturday we went to the Grand Geneva Resort for a little cross country skiing. It was so much fun! Shane knew how to cross country ski, but I've only downhill skied so he gave me a few instructions and we were off. It was snowing and windy thus creating a very cold beginning to our adventure, but once we got moving we warmed up quickly. The landscape was beautiful and we enjoyed the quiet wilderness with only the swish of our skis and sound of our voices. By the time we left I was ready to go out and buy a pair of skis! 
After coming back to our hotel and warming up we made cheese and chocolate fondue. It was the perfect way to cap off our romantic getaway!
Shane takes his fondue pretty seriously. Don't even think about coming between him and his chocolate dipped marshmallow!

We got a fondue set for Christmas that we are excited to use but have no idea how...sounds like we need lessons from Shane! Happy Anniversary to you two!
