Meredith is great!

Anyone that knows Meredith knows that she is just great. She is a super good seminary teacher and the students love her. She is a fabulous nanny that takes care of 2 kids and they just love her too. She also is an AMAZING cook. Not just the kind of cook that dabbles here and there, but a true to life, honest to goodness GLUTEN FREE MASTER CHEF. If there was an Iron Chef Gluten Free, she would be it!

But most of all, she will be the best mother in the world. We can't wait to start our family and hope that we will be able to adopt a baby soon. Then you will really see how awesome Meredith really is. Those that know her are nodding their heads as they read this, because they know it to be true.

So give it up for Meredith, she's the greatest!

Christmas 2008

Christmas morning we had so much fun being with family and seeing how excited the kids were when they saw what Santa brought them.  Thanks for letting us spend Christmas with you Joe and Monica!  We had a great time and are looking forward to our next visit!

Waiting to get the go ahead to see what Santa brought.

Shane with his M&M golf Candy Dispenser given to him by our favorite brother-in-law M&M collector!
I received this charging Valet from my awesome niece so I finally have a home for my keys, phone and spare change!

Check out the craftsmanship on this car garage!  I bet it took Santa's Elves at least two solid hours of hard labor to put that baby together!

Karaoke anyone?

Christmas Eve 2008

Christmas Eve was a busy day packed with as much fun as possible!  We went from shopping to bowling to McDonalds back to shopping. Than Crepe Fest and driving around to see Christmas lights and back home for more fun decorating graham cracker houses and drinking Egg Nog. Whew!   And we still made it to bed in time for Santa!

Duck pin bowling! This is our favorite activity to do with our niece and nephews.

Here's a good comparison of the duck pin bowling balls and a regular bowling ball.  The Duck pin balls don't even have holes in them.

What kid doesn't like Mickey D's?

Just checking out the Christmas lights...you didn't think my camera could take such a great picture in the dark, did you?

Getting out the supplies for the candy house

Shane with the burnt sugar and Graham crackers.  Quiet please.  We don't want to disturb the master builder who is busy at work creating a candy dream house.

Check out the craftsmanship on those house!

Washington D.C.

We went into D.C. one day while visiting Maryland and had so much fun exploring the city with Joe, Monica and the babies (the older kids were at school). One of the highlights was dinner at P.F.Changs...Chang's spicy chicken is our favorite! Thanks for a great trip Joe and Monica!

Here's Shane between some paintings of one of his favorite Cathedrals in Rouen, France by Monet.

The puffy shirt from Seinfield.

Checking out the giraffe and zebra display with my nephew. Notice the lines going across the picture? Our camera has started doing this funky line thing in some of our pictures...I hope it's doesn't mean the end of a good thing!

Here's the White House. This is one place I've always wanted to tour and will probably never have the opportunity! Oh well, I guess that's what movies are for.

Bowl Game

Eagle Bank Bowl - Navy vs. Wake Forrest in Washington D.C. @ RFK Stadium

On Dec 19th, we were able to attend the Eagle Bank Bowl in Washington D.C. to watch Navy vs. Wake Forrest. It was the first time that a football game was played in RFK stadium in over a decade. With the rich tradition of Washington Redskin football in the air, it was a great place to watch a football game. Navy played hard, but ultimately lost to Wake Forrest.

These were our seats, right about the 10th row. We were outfitted in Navy gear and hats that we got at the Naval Academy Pep Rally/Breakfast right before the game.

This is Meredith and Maddy with their Navy hats and foam #1 fingers at the Pep Rally.

Here is Shane along with T.J. and Jackson after a great breakfast at the Navy Pep Rally. We had waffles with berries and whip cream and all the Hot Chocolate that we could drink. We sure had a great time with Joe, Monica and their family and can't thank them enough for letting us spend Christmas with them.
